I am a married writer trying to build a career while raising three children in the middle of nowhere among forgettable places. I have a little obsession with labels and their price tags. Not Dior and Valentino but the labels that are placed on women that inspire false identity after marriage and children. These labels manifest into expectations that are carried out with the high price of identity.

This blog is the result of my struggle to find myself among labels, expectations and obligations. It is to give a voice to mothers who have been silenced by societies corrupt correctness. We can’t say we need time away from our children, we can’t say we want something for ourselves or that we are unfulfilled. This is where we make the sociably unacceptable acceptable – it is time to fill in the blank, I love my children but…

Hello Mommies! We just produced this wonderful Christmas video that we wish to share with the world –

“Dear Mr. Santa Claus (A Ride in Santa’s Sleigh)”

Its a classic Holiday animation for the whole family, just like the ones we all grew up on. Hope you enjoy! And if you do, please spread the word 🙂

    Happy Holidays!!!

    Hi there,

I saw this neat graphic posted on Facebook and wanted to share it with you:

It even has the code to post it on your blog if you want to share it. 🙂

Isn’t it amazing how much growing up has changed over the years?

Hope you have a great week,

Hi! I came across your blog and love what you have to say. I myself have struggled with the frustrations of identity. Reasons for only I can truly explain which unfortunately was only the fault of my own by not taking charge of my own life. Perhaps we may collaborate! I’m just so glad to finally see such an empowering blog statement such as yours! Much great things to come your way!

    Hi Torie,

I’ve recently started reading your blog and I think your experience could be a great help for the families in Kentucky by raising awareness about a lifesaving service that serves families that deal with medical conditions.

You may already be familiar with Smart911, a service that allows citizens to create a Safety Profile of information they would like 9-1-1 to have in the event of an emergency. Smart911 gives parents peace of mind about their family, children, pets and home.

I am helping the many counties in Kentucky that are part of this free nationwide Smart911 service in spreading the word to residents that they can sign up.
Please check out our Smart911 website and give us your feedback. We’d appreciate if you could write a review in one of your blog posts that we could share through our social media channels.

I hope we can work together and I look forward to hearing from you soon!
    Best regards,
    Jessica Lee
